Oak Suffolk Latch

This is a charming Suffolk latch made from solid oak. We have been selling these handles for over a decade, to complement our range of Solid Oak Ledged and Boarded doors. The curved handle is made out of one piece of wood, which is 200mm long externally and 100mm long internally. They work in exactly the same way as a conventional metal latch, with a handle, thumb lever, latchbar, jump staple and keep, all in solid oak. These are crafted in Somerset and are hand finished. Being made of wood, they are quieter than the metal equivalent, and are ideal for bedrooms, especially those occupied by the young or elderly! The set comes complete with brass screws for fixing.
